CPAC assists Airlines to increase the Digital Maturity of their OCC

Airline Operations Control Centers (AOCCs) are the airline’s nerve centers that monitor and steer the execution of the airline’s time table. AOCCs rely heavily on IT-systems to provide necessary information to support the decision-making process in order to make the most cost-effective decisions. The degree to which airlines have successfully incorporated available IT solutions can be expressed as the level of an airline’s digital maturity (DM).

The advantages of a higher DM level are apparent since more mature companies make better decisions and therefore perform significantly better.

CPAC conducted a worldwide survey to determine the current level of DM within airline OCCs. The outcome of the survey shows that the current average DM level of AOCCs is 3.5 on a scale from one to five. This indicates that the DM in AOCCs can be significantly improved.

CPAC’s 4 dimensional Digital Maturity Framework

CPAC developed a framework with four dimensions and a corresponding questionnaire that will allow airlines to determine their own Digital Maturity level and to  benchmark themselves against the worldwide survey results. The outcome of the benchmark will also indicate the areas that need to be improved.
